why does my crochet curl?
When ever I try crocheting something straight like an afghan or dishcloth it always curl after the first row. Like the row after your foundation chain. Why? Ive also tried using a bigger hook for the chain but it doesn’t help
You are making the chain too tight. there are many times that I have to redo my chain to get the right flexability. when you chain, make sure you can very easily slide the hook through when you make your first row. On most instructions it will say “chain loosely”. If you are needing to force and shove your hook through then they are too tight.
